The eco-driving reduces the risks of accident in winter

In winter, the roads become very slippery due to snow or ice. By adopting eco-driving, the risks linked to difficult driving conditions strongly decrease.

Eco-driving promotes at least 3 parameters of risk reduction. These three parameters are:

  • Increase the safety distances through the need of driving anticipation
  • Decrease the acceleration and heavy braking, so to have a better grip on slippery roads
  • Check the condition and the pressure of the tyres, allowing one more time, a better grip on slippery surfaces. However, the best solution is to use snow tyres when external temperature is less than 7 °C
